If I had to put one word to this past year, it would be ~patience~. Patience with the creative process, moments of inspirational droughts, and just life in general haha a lot happened in 2022 that has helped me to grow as a creator and I'm so excited to see what 2023 has in store!
My word for 2023: BALANCE ~ there are a lot of skills that I'd like to focus on, improve on, dive into, and also being able to balance that with life - being present, taking care of myself, nurturing relationships, work - is important fuel to creativity too!
Below is my 2022 recap, my 2023 goals, and at the very end is my 2023 vision board!
2022 Recap
Phew... a lot happened in 2022. A lot of great things! And some not so great things. As

most years tend to go.
2022 started off with being a newlywed :) I married Brooks on 12/4/2021, so this past year, we also hit our 1 year marriage anniversary!
Halfway through the year I tore my achilles and calf playing soccer. This is the first major injury I've ever had, so it was incredibly challenging mentally.
I started doing art shows - up until I got injured. Hoping to start up as soon as I'm 100%!
I started doing CFCs this past year (Catchall Free Commissions) - check out my stories on Instagram if you don't know what it is!
And towards the end of this year, I got a new corporate job.
Life continues to get busy as Brooks and I plan to build a house in the future - this year will be a big step towards that, so there's a lot to look forward to!
2023 Goals
Now... let's talk about this year!! Reflecting on the goals I set for myself last year, I hit a little motivational speed bump in the middle of the year when I got hurt, so the priority from that point on has been to heal. However, here are some of the goals that I'd like to work towards/achieve this year:

Really dive into photography - develop self portraits, continue finding my photography style, book a photoshoot, be a second shooter, find opportunities :)
Learn more about color theory and study art
Create more original art pieces - focusing on people, landscapes, and nature as subjects - would like to step into the world of Oil Painting
Read 3 books this year and write/journal more
Last year's goals I aimed to read 10 books during the year, and only was able to do about 4 or 5 books... I'm not a great reader, but I'd like to get better! I'm excited to see where this year takes me.
The Catchall Community has been so amazing and I can't wait to see it grow in the upcoming year!
